Beaches in Oinousses

Beaches Of Oinousses

Oinousses have many beautiful beaches, with the most accessible lying on the southwestern side of the island. Most of the beaches are small and quiet, with sand and transparent crystal sea. For absolute seclusion you should prefer the inaccessible northern beaches.
  • Apiganos (Southwest Oinousses): One of the most impressive beaches of Oinousses with nice sand and crystal sea. It is rather long and it is located a bit southwest of the harbor, while also having a small marina.
  • Kastro (Southwest Oinousses): A cute and rather large beach with large white pebble, both in and out of the sea. It is situated a bit north of the harbor, with a great view to the verdant Prasonisia.
  • Mpilali (Southwest Oinousses): A lovely stretch of sand with some pebbles here and there, a bit north of Oinousses village. It offers a calm shallow sea, ideal for families with little kids, some shade and a kiosk. Not far down the coast you will find two other small but serene beaches.
  • Zepagas (Southwest Oinousses): A highly popular beach as it is in a convenient location, in walking distance from Oinousses village. It is rather small, laid with thin pebble, offering crystal clear sea.
  • Agios Giannis (Southwest Oinousses): A scenic little beach with sand and thin pebble. On its side stands the white church of Agios Ioannis and behind the hill, on the right side, there is a pier ideal for diving.
  • Farkero / Fourkerou (Southwest Oinousses): A quiet beach located in a closed long bay to the south, a bit east of Oinousses village. It offers nice sand and calm crystal sea.
  • Fokia (Northwest Oinousses): A quiet beach on the northwest. It may not offer many amenities, but it has a lovely sand, crystal sea and easy road access.
  • Hohlakas - Katsika (Northwest Oinousses): Unspoilt beaches on the northwestern side of the island which are found in two consecutive closed bays. If the difficult access and the exposure of these beaches to the wind does not discourage you, you will get to enjoy the utmost privacy and the view to the coast of Asia Minor.
  • Tselepi / Tzelepi (North Oinousses): This is the northern beach at the northwest part of the island. It offers crystal clear waters, nice sand and most importantly absolute silence.
  • Hatzalis (North Oinousses): A peaceful peace with calm sea on the northwest edge of the island. It is laid with sand and pebble, and it offers clean blue sea and a few trees for shade. Near the beach lies a small concrete pier.
