The most popular beaches are on the south part of Mykonos. Some of them are Paradise, Super Paradise, Elia and Platis Gialos. All of them are amazing sandy beaches that attract a lot of people and consequently are very noisy. There are available umbrellas, deck chairs, bars and taverns by the sea.

• Megali Ammos (West Mykonos): It is a nice sandy beach close to Chora. It is one of the less popular beaches of Mykonos favored by those who seek to avoid all the fuss.
• Platis Gialos (Southwest Mykonos): An organized beach with golden sand and some taverns by the sea. This beach is ideal for families with little children, as it is protected from the wind by the bay and the surrounding mountains.
• Ornos (Southwest Mykonos): A beach with a solid tourist infrastructure that attracts visitors seeking peace and quiet. It has a great sand, umbrellas and it rarely gets windy.
• Paradise - Super Paradise (Southwest Mykonos): Those two amazing beaches are close to each other and they are the most popular of Mykonos. You do not come here just to have a swim, but to dance to the music, drink at the bars, meet people and have fun. Note that Super Paradise is a beach popular for nudists.
• Psarou (Southwest Mykonos): One of the most popular beaches of Mykonos that attracts people thanks to its great golden sand.
• Kalo Livadi (Southeast Mykonos): Close to Ano Mera village, this is the longest beach of Mykonos. It is gifted with a golden sand and crystal-clear blue water, it is preferred by families as it is also one of the more quiet beaches of Mykonos. There are several hotels and taverns around the beach.
• Kalafatis (Southeast Mykonos): The wind is always blowing on this beach and that is the reason it is preferred by windsurfers. It is one of the few beaches where you can find shade thanks to some trees. The sand is great and the water is clear.
• Elia (South Mykonos): A fantastic beach with solid touristic infrastructure that is offered for water sports besides swimming. The exotic atmosphere with the clear blue-greenish water is the reason for the great popularity of this beach.
