The most famous beaches are found north, like Sarakiniko and papafragkas, opposite of which stand the glaronisia islands (hexagonal rods of volcanic rock) composing an impressive spectacle. - Fatourena (Κεντρική Milos): A large stretch of sand with little thin pebble at the southwest of Milos bay. It is a quiet beach offering clean sea and a great view to Plaka. You can get here through a smooth dirt road.
- Hivadolimni / Ahivadolimni (Κεντρική Milos): This is the longest beach of Milos offering light sand and clear shallow sea. It is a lovely organized beach equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bar and some tamarisks. Near by lies the organized camping of Milos.
- Papikinou (Κεντρική Milos): A large sandy beach in walking distance from Adamanta, favored by many people. It has clean shallow sea and many trees behind the beach. The beach is partly organized with umbrellas and sunbeds.
- Lagkada (Κεντρική Milos): A small beach right next to Adamantas which is an easy solution for a quick swim. There are some boats there as this also serves as a small harbor, but the sea is clean. It offers lots of tamarisk trees, white sand and a concrete platform which serves great for diving.
- Agios Ioannis (West Milos): An impressive sight with tall white rocks standing over the sea leaving enough space just of a small piece of sand. This small yet impressive beach is found at the west, close to the Agios Ioannis Monastery. It will make it worth your time!
- Ammoudaraki (West Milos): A relatively small beach at the point where the rocks form an opening. It is located west and i offers great brown sand but no shade at all. It is a quiet beach but in order to reach it you will have to cross a dirt road.
- Triades (West Milos): Three consecutive beaches with thin light sand and clean blue sea. At the one side of the beach there are impressive white rocks. You can get here either by sea or by a dirt road.
- Gerontas (Southwest Milos): A small beach with light sand at the north, surrounded by tall rocks. At the right edge of the beach there is a large rock in the sea. It is best to reach this beach by sea so you can save yourself the trouble and do not forget to pack your umbrella.
- Kleftiko (Southwest Milos): The enchanting kleftiko is one of the most photographed places of Milos and one of the most popular beaches. It has also been called Meteora of the Sea. You can only get to Kleftiko by sea but it is a worthwhile experience because of the amazing scenery with the imposing volcanic rocks coming out of the deep blue sea. It is found at south Milos.
- Thiorychia (Southeast Milos): This is the beach right by the sulfur mines and it is laid with sand and pebble with yellow coloring, due to the sulfur. The sea here is clean but the beach has no natural shade. The road leading here is in poor condition but it is worth the effort as you can combine your swim with a visit to one of the most known attractions of Milos.
- Agia Kyriaki (Southeast Milos): A large organized beach at the southeast, one of the most beautiful on Milos. The sea is very clean which is obvious from the little fishes right next to your feet in the crystal turquoise water. The beach is laid with golden sand while the sea floor is laid with white pebbles. The beach amenities include sunbeds, umbrellas, and a beach bar, while access to the beach is easy through a smooth dirt road. The continuation of Agia Kyriaki towards the ease is called Psarovolada.
- Gerakas (South Milos): A long and narrow strip of light sand under the shadow of a tall mountain standing right behind the beach. There is a wild beauty to this landscape and while you enjoy your swim in the turquoise water you will not get enough of the view of the tall rocks threatening to displace the beach.
- Tsigrado (South Milos): A small popular beach despite the difficult access, as you have to climb up/down using a rope in a narrow opening between the cliffs. However, the mountain climbing is worth it because this is a beach with exceptional natural beauty due to the thin sand and the blue-green water. On the beach there is no natural shade, except from some small caves in the rocks, so pack some water and an umbrella.
- Fyriplaka (South Milos): A stunning beach with huge rocks standing behind the beach and a big rock vertical in the sea, at one side. The beach is small and narrow, while it has grayish sand and thin pebble. It gets crowded as besides the shallow turquoise water it is also partly organized with umbrellas, sunbeds and a beach bar. You can easily get to the beach through a short and smooth dirt road.
- Provatas (South Milos): A nice and rather large sandy beach with a slightly reddish sand color and blue sea. The sea here is shallow and the beach is organized with umbrellas, and sunbeds, and this is why it is favored by families with little children. You can get to the beach with no trouble while there are several rooms to let and taverns in close range.
- Agkathia (Northwest Milos): A large beach with shallow clean sea and light sand found west. It does not gather a lot of people mainly due to the difficult access, as the dirt road leading here is pretty rough. There are only a couple of tamarisk trees on the beach.
- Pahena (Northeast Milos): A large stretch of sand and a rare view, as a few feet from the coast there are some rocks standing tall in the sea, while the Glaronisia islet are visible in the background. It is located at the northeast of Milos, a bit before Pollonia settlement. The sea is clean and shallow, and on the beach there are some tamarisks for shade.
- Kapros (Northeast Milos): A tiny beach of rare beauty that looks more like a pool, located in one of the many small bays formed by the rocks of this area. You need to be careful in order not to miss it, as you will have to turn a bit before Papafragka beach. There is no shade on the beach so better be prepared.
- Papafragkas (Northeast Milos): Papafragkas is a rare spectacle, as it is a narrow strip of sea between tall rocks forming a tiny beach. The hard part is getting to the beach as the steps are very worn out and it is very easy to fall, as there is nothing to hold on to. The beach is worth the trouble as it has great sea and beautiful sand. At the rocks there are 2-3 large caves where you can find shelter from the hot summer sun.
- Pollonia (Northeast Milos): A large sandy beach with a lot of amenities that is close to the Pollonia village. It offers easy access, tamarisk trees, taverns, parking space and more to visitors.
- Paleochori (Northeast Milos): A marvelous large beach in red shades. The waters are blue, the sand is golden and the scenery with the alternating colors a beauty. It is for good reason that this is one of the most popular beaches on Milos. The beach has thin pebble and lots of tourist infrastructures like umbrellas, sunbeds, taverns, cafeterias and rooms to let.
- Plathiena (North Milos): A lovely beach at the north edge of Milos, a bit north of Plaka, with white sand and few pebble. It is relatively large and equipped with clean shallow sea and a few tamarisk trees for shade. You can easily reach the beach through the main road.
- Fyropotamos (North Milos): A small beautiful beach with the Syrmata right at the edge of the bay making the landscape even more scenic. It has crystal water, umbrellas, sunbeds and some tamarisk trees, while there is also a canteen and parking space.
- Sarakiniko (North Milos): Sarakiniko is the most famous and impressive beach of Milos thanks to the white volcanic rocks that cover almost the entire surface, looking like a moonscape. The sea here is so clean that you may notice little fishes swimming around you close to the shore, while the dark-colored water is rather warm. Start early for the beach because it gathers a lot of people, otherwise you may not find a place to sit. There are some caves close by and with a bit of walking towards the east you can reach the shipwreck. It is a good idea to carry an umbrella but its base will have to stand on the rocks.
- Mytakas (North Milos): A beautiful beach with light sand and clean blue sea right next to the Mytakas village, at the north of Milos. The beach is relatively small and peaceful, but it has little natural shade.
- Alogomantra (North Milos): An impressive beach as one the one side in ends up under the rocks, forming kind of a cave. The small and narrow beach offers nice golden sand, emerald waters and a rare romantic scenery mainly due to the rocks surrounding the beach. You will find it north, a bit east of Sarakiniko.
