Hydra is not famous for its beaches, as they are small, pebbly and not easily accessible. In order to visit the best ones simply get a boat or a sea taxi.
- Vlychos (West Hydra): Vlychos Beach is a small, pebbly beach located a bit west of Hydra town. Access is possible by a 30-minute walk from the main town or by water taxi. There is not natural shade but there is a beach bar that offers umbrellas, sunbeds and refreshments. The boat ticket, including the return, is 8 euro.
- Plakes (West Hydra): Plakes Beach is a small pebble beach a bit west of Vlichos Beach, on the southwestern coast of Hydra. It is larger than Vlychos but it is laid with rocky pebble making it hard to walk barefoot. There is not natural shade but there is a hotel restaurant on the beach offering umbrellas and sunbeds.
- Mandraki (West Hydra): Mandraki Beach is a beautiful tiny beach located a bit east of Hydra town. It is the only beach of the island with sand and easily accessible through the main road. The beach is fully covered by umbrellas and sunbeds of a pricey hotel.
- Bisti (Southwest Hydra): Located on the southwestern coast of Hydra, Bisti Beach is a hidden gem characterized by its breathtaking natural beauty. This small pebble beach is surrounded by rocky cliffs and offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Bisti Beach is accessible via a boat ride or by hiking along a trail. The beach is organized and there are also many trees for natural shade.
- Agios Nikolaos (Southwest Hydra): A lovely pebble beach hosted in a small bay in the southwest. Thanks to its orientation the crystal clean sea is usually calm. The beach is organized with many pine trees around. The boat ticket, including the return, is 15 euro.
- Limnioniza (South Hydra): Limnioniza Beach is a secluded pebble beach located on the southern coast of Hydra. It is known for its crystal-clear waters and rugged natural beauty. Access to Limnioniza Beach is by boat while the beach is not organized and it offers no natural shade.
- Molos (North Hydra): Molos Beach is a picturesque long narrow pebble beach located on the northern coast of Hydra Island. It is a peaceful and less crowded beach, known for its crystal-clear waters. The beach is accessible by boat and it is not organized, without natural shade.
