Once you get there the first thing you see at the entrance, tucked into the rock, is the small church of Agios Ioannis Spiliotis as well as a huge stalactite which is rumored to be the older in Europe. After climbing down 411 stairs, at a depth of 100 meters, you will find yourself in the main hall of the cave, where you can see impressive stalactites and stalagmites, but also signs of the famous guests who visited the cave from time to time. Antiparos CastleThe Venetian castle of Antiparos was founded on the 15th century and it is the most beautiful part of town with whitewashed houses, beautiful churches, and flowering bougainvilleas. If you see small bats flying over the castle during the night do not fear, because this happens almost on a daily basis. Antiparos Folklore MuseumNext to the entrance of the castle there is a small white building where the folklore collection of Antiparos is housed with traditional costumes and items of everyday use. Besides the folklore exhibits you can see Cycladic figurines and photographic material from the archaeological digs on Despotiko islet. Antiparos TourA good way to get to know Antiparos and some of the enchanting beaches of the neighboring islands, is to go on an island tour.
