In Harkadio Cave, on west Tilos underneath the castle, there have been discovered various paleontological finds, including bone fossils of dwarf elephants 1,2-1,4 meters tall which were extinct 3.700 years ago. Dwarf elephant bones, along with other findings, are exhibited in the museum of Megalo Chorio.
