The Underwater Museum is the first of its kind in Greece that is open to the public during the summer season. The Submarine Museum includes one of the largest shipwrecks of the Classical Era, dating between 425 and 420 BC. The shipwreck is considered of outstanding importance from an archaeological perspective, due to the large number of intact amphorae that have been preserved to this day. Its significance is so great that it has been named "The Parthenon of Shipwrecks." The shipwreck is now open to recreational divers who will have the opportunity to explore it under the guidance of experienced divers.
