You will find some of the island's main beaches, clockwise starting from the north, in the list below. - Agios Ioannis (Southwest Thassos): A relatively small beach in a sheltered bay southeast. The area has some green while the beach has sand, green waters, sunbeds, straw umbrellas and a canteen. The beach is not easily accessible and this is why it is rather quiet.
- Metallia (Southwest Thassos): A beautiful beach found in a scenic landscape with the trees almost reaching the sea. It is rather long and very wide, while offering sand with little pebble and a beach bar. It is a rather quiet beach and you will find it close to Limenaria village.
- Trypiti (Southwest Thassos): An impressive wide beach with white sand and deep blue sea. It is named after the hole formed by two rocks that can help you cross from one side to the other.
- Atspas / Skala Marion (Southwest Thassos): A small picturesque beach between the rocks that form a closed bay. It is organized with straw umbrellas and sunbeds while having shallow water and lovely sand. The road passes right above the beach where there is a cafeteria, and you can get down to the beach through the stairs.
- Paradisos (Southeast Thassos): This is considered to be one of the top beaches of Thassos, as its name suggests (paradise), and this is why it gathers a lot of people. It has superb thin sand, shallow turquoise sea and a beach bar. Be aware of the nudists that occupy one side of the beach. The dirt road that leads to the beach is a bit rough, but you has the option of leaving your car on the main road and walk the rest of the way for several minutes.
- Alykes (Southeast Thassos): A double beach of rare beauty as the strip of sand that penetrates the sea has water at both its sides. Both beaches offer enjoyable shallow turquoise sea with one being bigger, more organized and cosmopolitan, while the other being smaller and less noisy. In this area there are several taverns as well as ancient quarries and ancient ruins.
- Psili Ammos (South Thassos): Although it is small, it is one of the most famous beaches as it is organized and ideal for watersports. It is equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds, while due to the large crowds and its small size it is advised to start off early in order to find a spot. As its name suggests, the beach offers thin white sand and shallow crystal sea.
- Agios Antonios (South Thassos): It is in fact the continuation of Potos beach. This is an organized stretch of sand, with shallow sea and tourist infrastructure
- Potos (South Thassos): A cosmopolitan beach favored mostly by young people as it offers umbrellas, sunbeds, watersports, beach bars, taverns and rooms to let. It spans almost two kilometers in length and it is located right in front of Potos village.
- Pefkari (South Thassos): This beach is situated in a verdant landscape with many large pine trees almost reaching the sea. It is organized and rather large with sand and pebble, equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds, watersports, taverns and accommodation. You will find it at the south side of the island, near Potos village.
- Dasyllio Prinou (Northwest Thassos): A large stretch of sand located at the seaside Prinos village. The beach has shallow clean sea, ideal for families with little kids, straw umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bar and an organized camping. You have no need for umbrellas as the pine trees cover the whole area offering their shade to visitors.
- Makryammos (Northeast Thassos): A lovely, large and fully organized beach that is entirely covered by umbrellas. It offers shallow turquoise water ideal for families with kinds, calm sea beautiful thin white sand, umbrellas with sunbeds, and watersports. There are some hotels and restaurants not far from the beach.
- Vathy (Northeast Thassos): This is one of the best beaches of Thassos, rather quiet and with many trees. It has green-blue sea and white sand, while there are several umbrellas and a tavern near by. The only downside is the access, as you can only reach the beach through a dirt road.
- Saliara (Northeast Thassos): A beach of exotic beauty with thin white pebble and amazing turquoise sea. It is small in length but rather large, while the entire area is pine filled. Although it is not easy to reach, it gathers large crowds as it is becoming increasingly popular the last years. The beach is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and a beach bar. To find the impressive you head towards Makryammos and travel on a dirt road for about 20 minutes.
- Rahoni / Skala Rahoniou (North Thassos): A nice and quiet beach with thin sand and shallow crystal sea, ideal for families with children. There are several pine trees almost reaching the sea offering their shade. The beach is rather long but it is not organized, although you can find some guest-houses right behind the beach as well as few taverns.
- Pahys (North Thassos): A rather long remarkable beach thanks to its crystal waters, the pine filled landscape and the easy road access. On the beach you will find some straw umbrellas, sunbeds, watersports and a couple of taverns. It is rarely crowded as it is easy to pass by it without realizing it.
- Glyfoneri (North Thassos): This very small beach is covered with pine trees. The green waters will enchant you, but make sure you get an early start in order to find a spot.
- Glykadi (North Thassos): A large beach with a beach bar, straw umbrellas and big pine trees for shade. It is laid with light sand and little pebble.
- Chrysi Ammoudia / Chrysi Akti (East Thassos): They are two beaches but it is in fact one, which is one of the largest and most popular on the island, spanning several kilometers in length. It offers white sand and deep blue sea, while being fully organized with umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bar, water sports, taverns and rooms to let. Naturally, as it is the case with most beaches, it is situated in a verdant landscape.
