Beaches Of Sikinos

Only 3 beaches can be reached through the road, Alopronia, Agios Georgios and Dialiskari. You can get to the rest of the beaches either by paths which require a lot of walking or by boat that depart from Alopronia.
  • Agios Panteleimonas (Southwest Sikinos): Another small beach at the south side of Sikinos. Like most beaches in this area it is very secluded as it can only be reached by boat. On the plus side the beach has sand and there is a cave where you can find some shade.
  • Agios Giannis (Southwest Sikinos): A small beach at the south side of Sikinos in a small bay that shelters it from the wind. The beach has pebble and crystal water, while it is looked down by the Agios Giannis church, after which the beach was named. You can only get here by boat and make sure you to not forget to bring your umbrella.
  • Santorineika (South Sikinos): Two small beaches with pebble in two consecutive bays in the middle of nowhere. The water there is amazing and the tiny beaches look more like pools and with a bit of luck they may be like private pools, just for you. The beach is at the south of Sikinos and you can only reach it by sea or a great deal of walking. The bizarre name Santorineika of the beach is due to the boats from Santorini that used to dock here.
  • Agios Georgios (Northeast Sikinos): It is one of the most popular beaches of Sikinos and it is found northeast. It is rather wide and it offers sand with pebble, nice blue water and a few tamarisk trees for shade. Until recently it was only accessible by boat, but now there is a road leading straight to the beach.
  • Maltas (Northeast Sikinos): A beautiful but desolate beach with clean blue water, light-colored sand and pebble. It is found at the northeast edge of Sikinos, in the Maltas bay where you can only come by boat. Make sure you pack your umbrella, as there is no natural shade on the beach.
  • Alopronia (East Sikinos): This is the most central beach of Sikinos and it is located in a protected bay. It is a wide beach with nice sand, umbrellas, tamarisk trees for shade and the little port at its side. Naturally there are a lot of cafes, taverns and rooms to let around the beach. Access to the beach is easy as the asphalt road leads you right on the beach.
  • Dialiskari (East Sikinos): Another beach with easy access located in east Sikinos, between the beaches of Alopronia and Agios Georgios. It is a quiet beach with sand, clean sea, tamarisk trees and a few umbrellas.
