Beaches Of Paros


The majority of the beaches is found at the north and east Paros which include the most popular and beautiful beaches of the island. The beaches of Chrysi Akti and Nea Chrysi Akti are famous for their watersports, especially for windsurfing.
  • Delfini / Souvlia (West Paros): A bit north of Parikia lies the Souvlia beach, which is also called Delfini beach due to the Delfini bar which operates here. It is a large beach with light sand and clean calm sea, favored mostly by families. There a some trees for shade and a few umbrellas.
  • Krios - Martselo (West Paros): It is right next to Delfini beach, offering equally clean sea and beautiful sand. It is a popular beach as it is sheltered from the wind and it offer sumbrellas, sunbeds, taverns and a beach bar. The continuation of the beach from a point on is called Martselo.
  • Parasporos (West Paros): A large and busy beach a bit south of Parikia. It has nice sand and turquoise water, while there are also some trees for shade. The benefits of the beach include straw umbrellas, sunbeds, taverns and a beach bar.
  • Agia Irini (West Paros): A few kilometers south of Parikia lies this enchanting beach with the blue water. The trademark of the beach are the tall pine trees at its side which give the beach a tropical tone.
  • Alyki (Southwest Paros): A large stretch of sand with clean blue sea. Close by you will find some taverns and tamarisk trees for shade.
  • Dryos (Southeast Paros): A stunning and peaceful beach with light sand (with a little thin pebble) and clean sea. It is located in a sheltered bay at the southeast of the island, a bit after the Chrysi Akti beach. At one side there are rocks from where you can dive to the sea, while there are also some taverns and large tamarisk trees. This area is rather verdant as it has a lot of running water.
  • Chrysi Akti (Southeast Paros): One of the most known beaches and the largest in length on Paros that has golden sand and blue water. It is an organized beach with umbrellas, sunbeds, watersports, beach bars, hotels and restaurants. It is found at the southwest of the island, a bit south of Piso Livadi.
  • Nea Chrysi Akti (Southeast Paros): It is also called Tserdakia and it is found right next to Chrysi Akti, as it is its natural continuation. It is an endless stretch of sand with clean sea, while it is famous for its watersports, due to the annual World Windsurfing Championship that is held here. Close by you will find shops, taverns and rooms to let.
  • Faraggas (South Paros): This is a small beach with sand in a protected bay at the south edge of Paros. It has clean blue sea, straw umbrellas, sunbeds and a beach bar.
  • Glyfa (South Paros): This quiet and beautiful sandy beach is located in south Paros. It does not get crowded because it is not easy to find and it can only be accessed through dirt roads.
  • Livadia (Northwest Paros): A large beach with golden sand and clean sea a stone's throw from Parikia. It is an organized beach that gathers large crowds as it offers trees, straw umbrellas, sunbeds, cafeterias, restaurants, shops and rooms to let.
  • Ampelas (Northeast Paros): This small sandy beach is at the Ampelas village where a couple of great fish taverns are open. This is a quiet area while he sea is calm and clean. You will find it at the northeast of the island, a bit southeast of Naousa.
  • Santa Maria (Northeast Paros): It is situated at the northeast of Paros, behind Laggeri beach, and it is one of the most crowded beaches of Paros. It is a long beach with golden sand which is mostly organized with straw umbrellas, sunbeds, taverns, shops and watersports.
  • Laggeri (Northeast Paros): At the west edge of Naousa bay lies this small quiet beach. The sandhills, the thin golden sand and the cedar trees compose a scenery of rare beauty that travels you away.
  • Kolympithres (North Paros): In north Paros, at the west edge of Naousa bay, lies the star of the island, Kolympithres beach, a sandy beach surrounded by granite rocks carved by the waves in impressive formations. These rocks form natural cavities which are filled with sea water, making them look like bathing fonts.
  • Piperi (North Paros): A small but very wide beach very close to Naousa. It offers clean sea, nice sand, accommodation and taverns. It is divided in two beaches, the Small Piperi and the Large Piperi.
  • Agioi Anargyroi (North Paros): A lovely beach with thin golden sand right next to Naousa. It is preferred by families as it is quiet and it is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and a few trees for shade.
  • Monastiri (North Paros): A relatively small beach with light sand, calm sea and some tamarisk trees. Right by the beach is the small church of Agios Ioannis Detis, so the beach is also called after that. It is very close to Kolympithres and it is favored mainly by young people because of the beach bars that are gathered there.
  • Kalogeros (East Paros): A narrow strip of sand with deep blue sea in a scenery of wild beauty due to the tall steep rocks. Its main characteristic are the argil clay rocks, which you can use to give yourself a natural spa treatment.
  • Pounta (East Paros): The sandy beach of Pounta lies between Piso Livadi and Chrysi Akti. It is a famous beach thanks to the Pounta beach bar that operates here attracting crowds of young people. As expected, Pounta beach is organized with rooms to let, watersports, umbrellas and sunbeds, while there are also many trees offering shelter from the hot summer sun. Careful not to confuse this beach with Pounta that lies west, at the other side of Paros, where the ship sails for Antiparos island.
  • Piso Livadi (East Paros): A long and narrow strip of sand with a lot of tamarisks located east. The beach is relatively quiet and it is sheltered from the winds by a protected bay. Although the beach is not organized, there are various shops, taverns and rooms to let near by as the beach is right in front of the village.
  • Logaras (East Paros): On the east cost of Paros, a bit south of Piso Livadi, lies the nice sandy beach of Logaras. It is a long and wide organized beach offering watersports, seaside bars, rooms to let and taverns. For those who forget their umbrella there are several big tamarisk trees.
  • Molos (East Paros): A long and narrow stretch of golden sand with shallow sea located in a large protected bay facing east, at about the middle of the island. Not far from the beach you can find several taverns and accommodation. At the back side of Molos, to the north, there is the Kalogeros bay with its beach.
