As its name suggests, this is a truly magnificent sandy beach, almost 6 kilometers long. It is extremely crowded as it is the most popular beach of Kos thanks to its position, beautiful sand and shallow water. Water here is slightly warmer due to underwater volcanic vents. The green surrounding with the palm trees adds even more to the beauty of the beach. Around the beach there are several cantines and sea-food taverns, and you can also find water sports.
