Arkadi Monastery

An amazing monastery of the 16th century with great history. You really feel that you have travelled back in time when you are inside its imposing fortified walls. It includes a museum with many old relics, an art gallery and a shop with products made by the monks. There is plenty of free parking space. It is about 23 kilometers southeast of Rethymno town, half an jour away. Entry fee is 3 euro.

Preveli Monastery

Sfendoni Cave
