The large stunning beach of Thanous is one of the best on Lemnos. It has nice light sand, shallow clean sea, while the largest part of it is covered by umbrellas and sunbeds. You will find it at the southwest edge of the island, 6 klm south of Myrina. In the area there are taverns, rooms to let and seaside bar. Be careful to take the asphalt road, as there are others leading to the beach, but mind that it is narrow and winding as it passes through the village.
