The most impressive beach of Kythnos is Kolona, which is a strip of sand connecting the tiny island of Agios Loukas with the rest of Kythnos. On top of Agios Loukas island there is the church of Agios Loukas, adding even more to the beauty of the rare scenery. Kolona is one of the most impressive beaches of Cyclades, as it has the sea in both its sides. The only downside of the perfect beach is the difficult access, as the road which leads there (starting from Apokrousi) is best suited for a 4x4 vehicle. However, you do have the option to reach the beach by sea with the boat that leaves from Merihas (10 euro with return trip).
