Gaidouronisi, also known as Chrysi island, is a very small island a bit south of Ierapetra town. Gaidouronisi feautures some amazing beaches with golden sand and amazing turquoise sea. Its best beaches are on the east side and depending on the wind direction you can walk to a different beach, like the Belegrina beach facing north, the Kataprosopo Beach facing east or the Vougiou Mati Beach facing south. Gaidouronisi is a 50 minute sail by boat from Ierapetra.
