If you find yourself passing by Sitia town, make sure to stop at this small yet interesting archaeological museum. Its collection covers all the historical periods of the entire island of Crete. It is open every day (except Tuesdays) between 8:30-15:30 and the entry fee is 3 euro. Afterwards, if you don't mind the steps, you can check out the small Kazarma Fortress that offers a great view of the town and sea.
