On the south side of Crete lies the famous Samaria Gorge, the second longest in Europe, where the hiking route is about 16 kilometers long. After at least 6 hours of walking, having started from Omalos, you reach the lovely beach of Agia Roumeli. Along the way there is running water, but even if it is summer and here is none you are bound to come across various springs, as well as the cute kri-kri climbing the rocks.
