This is the most important attraction of Symi and it receives many visitors everyday. The most impressive thing to see is the wonderful bell town and the whole body icon of Archangel Michael, a work of 1724, decorated with gold and silver offerings. The Monastery is in the homonymous bay at the south edge of the island, right in front of the sea with a verdant hill as a background.
