It is located at the center of Parikia and it is one of the most significant tourist attractions of Paros and one of the most remarkable Christian monuments of Greece. It is also called Katapoliani and it is one of the oldest churches as it was built in the 6th century. Here you will see the priceless icon of Panagia Vrefokratousa, the baptistery and sculptures of Christian and ancient Greek themes, while in the sanctuary there is the very interesting synthronon shaped like a small amphitheater and the housing over the altar. In the church there is an ecclesiastical museum operating with exceptional works of art, mostly old bizonal icons.
