Myrina Castle Attraction
It is also called Paliokastro and it stands proudly over the town of Myrina, while the evenings it is illuminated, making for a beautiful spectacle. It was founded in 1186 and it is one of the largest forts in the Aegean and one of the best maintained. Inside the castle you can see the ruins of administrative buildings, tank clusters, galleries, while the turrets provide a magnificent view. In the castle there are about 100 deers that were brought from Rhodes, moving around freely, an ideal target for a picture.
