Samos has some magnificent scenic mountainous villages that deserve a visit. Some of those are Pagondas, Manolates, Paleokastro, Vourliotes and Spathareoi. Most of them have a nice view and squares with traditional cafeterias, while they are located in green landscapes. Every September there is the festival of Souma, while on Pagonda you can visit a small folklore museum.
