Melidoni Cave, also known as Gerontospilios, is located about 30 kilometers east of Rethymno town. The cave is not big but it is known for its stunning rock formations and is considered one of the most beautiful caves on the island of Crete. Visitors can explore the cave and learn about its history and geology. There is an entry fee of 4 euro.
