The War Museum in Lakki is unique of its kind, as it is housed in the tunnel of Merikia, a military tunnel which has been restored specifically for this purpose. The exhibits include photographs, maps, models and others found on various parts of the island. Furthermore, on the surrounding area there is an exhibition with military vehicles (automobiles, airplanes, etc), weapons and war material of the time (cannons, bombs, torpedoes, etc), while at the end of the tunnel there is a short film projected based on the Battle ofLeros.
