In Loutra village, at the north part of the island, you will find the Hydrotherapy Center of Kythnos. The warm water coming out of the two springs (of Agioi Anargyroi and of Kakkavos), the only ones of their kind in Cyclades with sulfurous and ferrous waters, is ideal for a range of diseases (rheumatism, arthritis, dermatological, gynecological, heart diseases, etc). The building was designed by Ernst Ziller and it was built during the 19th century, while king Otto and queen Amalia used to come here in order to enjoy the beneficial effects of the hot springs. The Hydrotherapy Center is open to the public from July to October, from morning to 14:00 noon.
