Archaeological Site of Karthea Attraction
This is the most important archaeological site on Kea. Here you can see the ruins of the temple of Athena, built around 500 B.C., and two Doric style temples located at the south side of the acropolis, while it is also speculated that over the sea there was standing the temple of Apollo Pythios. A part of the city walls is preserved along with part of the road Karthea-Ioulida and remains from the ancient theatre and the aqueduct.
